Heiress Designz, LLC never sells or rents your personal information. This policy explains what we collect when you shop with us, book an appointment, or get in touch, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Heiress Designz, LLC ("Heiress Designz," "we," "us") is a permanent jewelry business serving Greater Atlanta, Georgia.

This policy covers heiressdesignz.com, our online store, appointment and party bookings, in-person installs and events, and the emails and texts we send. It does not cover other websites we link to, such as the jBloom collection, which have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to make your jewelry, run your appointment, and complete your order.

• Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number, when you order, book, contact us, or join our email list.

• Order and shipping details: billing and shipping address, items purchased, and order history, at checkout.

• Payment details: card number and billing details, handled by our payment processor at checkout. We only see the card type and last four digits.

• Booking details: appointment date and time, service, party size, and event location, when you book an install or a party.

• Fitting and style details: wrist, ankle, or neck measurements; chain, charm, and closure choices; and notes such as a metal sensitivity you choose to share. We collect these during booking, at your appointment, or in product notes.

• Consent forms: your name, signature, and acknowledgments on any service form we ask you to sign before a permanent weld.

• Account details: login email, encrypted password, and saved addresses, if you create an account.

• Gift card details: the recipient's name and email address, when you buy a gift card.

• Photos: pictures of your finished piece, only with your permission.

• Device and usage details: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you found our site, collected automatically through cookies (see below).

How we use your information

We use your information to serve you, not to profile or sell you. Specifically, we use it to:

• Process your orders and payments, and ship your purchases

• Schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments and parties

• Fit and make your jewelry to your measurements and choices

• Deliver gift cards and track their balances

• Answer your questions and handle repairs, re-welds, and returns

• Send marketing emails or texts, only if you have opted in

• Understand how people use our site so we can improve it

• Prevent fraud and keep our site secure

• Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Who we share it with

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we never share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs to do its job. They are required to protect it and may not use it for any other purpose.

• Squarespace: hosts our website, online store, customer accounts, bookings, and email.

• Payment processor, e.g. Stripe, PayPal, or Square: processes card payments securely.

• Shipping carriers, e.g. USPS or UPS: deliver your orders.

We may also disclose information when:

• The law requires it, such as a valid court order

• It is needed to protect the safety, rights, or property of our clients, our business, or others

• Heiress Designz is sold or merged. In that case, the new owner must honor this policy, and we will tell you before your information is covered by a different one.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a site. We use them to keep items in your cart, keep you signed in, and see which pages are popular.

• Essential cookies make the store and checkout work. The site can't run without them.

• Analytics cookies show us visit counts and popular pages, through Squarespace Analytics. We look at this in summary, not to track individuals.

• Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, or other ad tools. We look at this in summary, not to track individuals.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the cart and checkout from working.

Emails and texts

We send marketing emails or texts only if you sign up for them.

• Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

• Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Message and data rates may apply.

Even after you unsubscribe, we'll still send messages about your orders, appointments, and gift cards, since those are part of the service you asked for.

How we protect it

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical steps to protect your information:

• Our entire site is encrypted with HTTPS, so information you enter is protected in transit.

• Card payments are handled by PCI-compliant payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.

• Only the people who need your information to serve you can access it.

• Our business accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification.

• Paper forms, such as signed consent forms, are stored securely and shredded when no longer needed.

No website or storage system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it:

• Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, typically up to 7 years.

• Booking, fitting, and consent records: while you're a client, so we can help with re-welds and repairs, or until you ask us to delete them.

• Email and text subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.

• Account details: until you close your account.

• Analytics data: kept in summary form.

Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you, and give you a copy

• Correct information that is wrong or out of date

• Delete your information, unless we must keep it by law, such as order records for taxes

• Stop sending you marketing emails or texts

To make a request, email heiressdesignz@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within 30 days. We will never charge you or treat you differently for using these rights.

Some states give residents additional privacy rights. We honor those rights for residents of those states.

Children and minors

Our website and online store are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

For in-person services, clients under 18 need a parent or guardian present, and the parent or guardian provides the contact details and consent for the appointment.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information in a meaningful way, we'll let you know by email or with a notice on our site before it takes effect.
